A little info about Soap From Hope:
Dissatisfaction with the quality of products offered for skin and hair care was the starting point of Soap from Hope. The more we researched, the more dissatisfied we became. It seemed the traditional, simple knowledge of soap making were being lost. The real was being replaced with the cheaper synthetic. I wanted to preserve these traditional knowledges and the best way for me was to rediscover and apply the methods of the Good wife. Most everyone uses soap at one time/place or another. We thought to make a soap that contained the medicinal value of infused oils or tinctures, then there would be another usefulness to washing. The alkali in soap is very drying. The emollient soaps, while cleaning the dirt from one's skin also supply a healing oil/lotion. Sounds like an oxymoron, but it works!
We've sourced the ingredients starting with the traditional medicinal value.
Our herbs are wild-crafted when possible. All the hers and spices we use are organic to the best of our knowledge and ability.
We consult with a Master Herbalist before we decide to change an existing formula or create a new one.
Each new product is tested by a number of individuals who regularly use some of our products and are willing to help us maintain our standard of highest quality. Suggestions are noted, appropriate changes made and then the product is tested again.
Soap bars may vary a bit in size because each is hand cut.
